Directions
- Add to slow cooker, on high: Beef stock, carrots, potatoes, rutabaga, basil, oregano, thyme, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce.
- Heat EVOO in frying pan, add onions, garlic. Cook until caamelized.
- Add cooked onions and garlic to slow cooker.
- In mixing bowl, add flour, salt and pepper. Coat stew beef pieces in flour mixture.
- Fry beef pieces until they start to colour.
- Add beef to slow cooker.
- Add any remaining flour mixture to slow cooker.
- Mix ingredient in slow cooker. Cover and cook for many hours. 5+ hours.
- Check occasionally for doneness. Vegetable tenderness, flavour, etc.
